Purpose of Review

The purpose of our review was to assess the District’s progress, as of July 2024, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in February 2017.

Background

The Otisco Fire District (District) is a district corporation of the State, distinct and separate from the Town of Otisco, in Onondaga County. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Fire Commissioners (Board).

Results of Review

We determined that the District has not made progress in implementing corrective action. Of the three audit recommendations, two recommendations were not implemented, and one recommendation was not applicable for the period that we reviewed.
